I, Addict<\/span><\/i> tells the true story of Javier Giner<\/strong>, an audiovisual professional who, at the age of 30, decides to voluntarily enter a detoxification center. Unable to manage his vital anguish and the suffering he generates for himself and others, he has been submerged for several years in a self-destructive spiral<\/strong> of addiction to alcohol, drugs and sex. At the moment of maximum darkness, he will make the decision to ask for professional help moved by a desperate survival instinct. Without knowing it, this gesture will change his life, becoming a new person.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on the autobiographical novel<\/strong> of the same title by Javier Giner, the series is created by himself along with Aitor Gabilondo<\/strong> (<\/span>Patria<\/span><\/i>). Giner himself is also in charge of directing along with Elena Trap\u00e9<\/strong> (<\/span>The Distances<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>The Enchanted<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Celeste<\/span><\/i>).
