The Danish filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg will offer a masterclass moderated by Clara Roquet in which he will talk about his latest work, the series \u2018Families Like Ours\u2019, and his career. Session in collaboration with ECAM.<\/b><\/h2>\n

Thomas Vinterberg<\/strong>, outstanding international guest of the 11th edition of Serielizados Fest, will offer a masterclass included in the PRO section <\/strong>with ECAM<\/strong><\/a>‘s collaboration. The Danish filmmaker will talk about his long career and the creation process of his latest work, the series <\/span>Families Like Ours<\/i><\/strong>, which premieres exclusively in Spain at the festival and which will be available on Movistar Plus+ starting in November.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vinterberg became internationally known within the Dogma<\/strong> movement with a film as fundamental as <\/span>The Celebration<\/i><\/strong> (1998). Later he also stood out with titles such as <\/span>Dear Wendy<\/i><\/strong> (2005), <\/span>Submarino<\/i><\/strong> (2010), <\/span>The Hunt<\/span><\/i> (2012), <\/span>The Commune<\/i><\/strong> (2016), <\/span>Kursk<\/span><\/i> (2018) or <\/span>Another Round<\/i><\/strong> (2020), with which he won the Oscar for Best International Film.<\/span><\/p>\n

Families Like Ours<\/span><\/i> is his first foray into the world of series<\/strong>. It is a fiction set in Denmark, in the near future, in which the country has to be evacuated due to severe flooding. A family drama and at the same time a survival story about a country forced to say goodbye to its homeland.<\/span><\/p>\n

The masterclass will be moderated by filmmaker Clara Roquet<\/strong>, creator of the series <\/span>Past Lies<\/span><\/i> (2024), director of the film <\/span>Libertad<\/span><\/i> (2021), and screenwriter on films such as <\/span>10,000 Km<\/span><\/i> (2014), <\/span>The Days to Come<\/span><\/i> (2019), <\/span>Creatura<\/span><\/i> (2023) or the series <\/span>Galgos<\/span><\/i> (2024).<\/span><\/p>\n

This session is part of the PRO section of the festival and can be accessed with the PRO pass.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
