Serielizados Fest 2025 announces dates and launches its Open Call for series

Serielizados Fest opens the call for series submissions for its 12th edition, which will take place from November 3 to 12 in Barcelona. The presentation event of the Open Call took place this Wednesday, March 26, within the framework of the Séries Mania festival, currently being held in Lille, France.

The announcement was made during an event titled ‘Catalonia Loves Series,’ jointly organized by Catalunya Film Commission, Catalan Films, and Serielizados Fest, held at the Séries Mania Forum, the professional and industry fair running parallel to the festival. This event aimed to showcase series produced in Catalonia that have achieved international distribution, such as the upcoming Pubertat (Max) or success stories like Celeste or This is not Sweden.

During the festival presentation at the event, the directors of Serielizados Fest, Víctor Sala and Betu Martínez, announced the final dates for the 2025 festival (from November 3 to 12) and outlined the main themes of its upcoming twelfth edition.

They also announced the launch of this year’s Open Call, an open call for series submissions to the festival’s selection committee. This call is open from March 26 and closes on June 30, accepting applications for the Official National Section, Official International Section, International Panorama, Short Form, and Documentary Film.

The selected series for the next edition of Serielizados Fest will compete for the Official Jury Award and the Young Jury Award. In previous editions, Serielizados Fest has exclusively premiered series such as Blackport, Celeste, Families Like Ours, Life After Life, We Are Lady Parts, This Is Not Sweden, Último Acto, and The Last Socialist Artefact, among many others.
